Our director Talina Edwards joins national design experts to explore how homes can be healthier, more comfortable and better for people and planet.
What makes a home truly healthy? Is it energy efficiency, fresh air, natural materials, or our connection with nature? We believe it's all of these things working together.
Our director Talina Edwards has been invited to speak at the Building Designers Association of Australia's (BDAA) National Festival of Design, held in Canberra from 22–25 October 2026.
Her presentation, Reimagining the Future of Healthy Homes, explores how sustainable home design has evolved — from passive solar principles and all-electric homes to Passivhaus building science, natural materials and biophilic design.
But where do we go from here?
At Envirotecture, we believe the next evolution is about moving beyond simply reducing harm, towards creating homes that actively support the wellbeing of people and planet.
For anyone planning a new home or renovation, this means considering the bigger picture. A home that's comfortable year-round, has fresh indoor air, uses resources wisely, feels connected to nature, and is designed to thrive well into the future.
These ideas aren't just aspirations for tomorrow. They're principles we already put into practice with our clients today.
