Ever wondered what living in a Passivhaus really feels like? This November, we're opening the doors to two remarkable homes designed by Envirotecture.
Experience the difference for yourself
What does a home that's comfortable year-round, filled with fresh filtered air and remarkably energy-efficient actually feel like?
There's no better way to find out than stepping inside one!
From 13–15 November 2026, the International Passivhaus Open Days, organised by the Australian Passivhaus Association, will open the doors to high-performance homes across Australia. It's a wonderful opportunity to experience the comfort, quiet and quality of Passivhaus firsthand, meet the people behind the projects and ask questions about what makes these homes so different.
We're delighted that two Envirotecture-designed homes will be part of this year's event!
Oceana Passivhaus – Austinmer, NSW
Saturday 14 November | 10–11am
Join the Envirotecture team for a guided tour of Oceana Passivhaus, a beautiful family home on the NSW coast that's achieved Passivhaus Plus certification.
Designed to embrace its north-facing garden and spectacular escarpment views, this thoughtfully crafted home combines bold interiors, a strong connection to nature and exceptional building performance.
Built by Amity Builders, Oceana demonstrates how the Passivhaus standard can deliver a healthy, comfortable and resilient home that also generates more energy than it consumes over the course of a year.
Come along, explore the spaces and discover how thoughtful architecture and building science work together to create a home that's a delight to live in.

The Hundred Year Bungalow – Hampton, VIC
Saturday 14 November | 11am–12pm, 1–2pm and 2–3pm
We're also thrilled that another of our projects, previously known as Biophilic Bungalow, will be opening its doors!
Now called The Hundred Year Bungalow, this ambitious renovation has transformed a 1920s home into a beautiful example of what's possible when we choose to renew rather than demolish.
Designed with Passivhaus performance, biophilic principles and regenerative ambitions at its heart, the project demonstrates how existing homes can be reimagined to support the wellbeing of both people and nature.
The owners, who have been deeply involved in bringing their vision to life, will be hosting these tours. It's a fantastic opportunity to hear their experience firsthand.
