Talina Edwards
Talina’s passion for architecture was ignited as a child and her love for biophilic design was nurtured by a childhood home built from earth bricks by her father and grandfather. Her approach to sustainable architecture is fuelled by two equally strong impulses—to work from a firm foundation in cutting edge building science and to create buildings that are a joy to experience with all the senses.

Andy Marlow
Andy joined Dick Clarke at Envirotecture as a young architect, gaining significant experience in designing genuinely sustainable buildings, both residential and non-residential, in Australia and overseas. After a stint at a large corporate practice, Andy returned to Envirotecture as a director in 2014. He went on to found Passivhaus Design & Construct in 2020, in order to make Passivhaus performance more accessible for more people.

Dick Clarke
The well-known and much loved champion of sustainable design in Australia has retired from the day-to-day at the company he founded in 1996, but he continues to offer wise counsel and unbridled optimism to the Envirotecture team. Dick continues to advocate for a better future in many voluntary capacities.

She also specialises in retrofitting heritage buildings. Ruth works from our Sydney office. Outside of work, you’re likely to find Ruth with her family, at an art gallery or walking in nature.

He enjoys the technical side of design and documentation and also the relationship created by working closely with clients. His on-the-tools experience on residential building sites gave Judd valuable practical insights into construction—and fuelled his desire to contribute to better designed homes. His love for the ocean has spurred him to travel widely. While Judd loves natural environments, he has a keen appreciation for technology too.

From preliminary feasibility and design to construction documentation, Mia delivers highly detailed Passivhaus documentation and is a main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors. Her experience spans cold regional Victorian climates, off-grid buildings in bushfire prone areas and suburban heritage overlays. In her spare time Mia enjoys reading, hiking and renovating – her three favourite ways of following her sense of curiosity.

Shaily Shah
Shaily earned her Masters of Architecture at Deakin University and went on to become a certified Passivhaus Designer. Shaily remains connected with Deakin as a guest presenter and reviewer for its sustainability-focused design studios. She believes a good design creates spatial experiences that incorporate strong connections between people, place, culture and landscape, and the built and natural environments. Shaily loves creating spaces with unique character, that convey a sense of their physical and cultural place in the world. She enjoys taking care of her indoor plants, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Courtney loves to experience new spaces, always on the lookout for new and emerging trends.

He is a certified Passivhaus designer and is currently working towards a Masters Degree with a focus on sustainable architecture. His professional experience ranges from residential to massive infrastructure (like the Bankstown Airport!). Noah looks for the unique benefits of each individual site in order to create homes uniquely suited to their location and the families that live in them. He has personal and professional experience with remote, off-grid projects. Much of his time outside of work is spent making and repairing, whether electronics, tools or furniture.

David McCallum
David’s expertise reaches from minor alterations and additions to significant multi-residential mixed-use developments and civic buildings. A particular strength is designing for accessibility. He leans toward “simple but not simplistic”: clean and clear design and documentation that offers a better quality of life, social experience and environment. David works from our Sydney office. He has a keen interest in technological innovations, yet is very content exploring the back roads on a winding road-trip.
