Envirotecture’s Director Talina selected as speaker at APA’s 2025 Pecha Kucha Night in Melbourne.
Our Director, Talina Edwards, is excited to be speaking at the Australian Passivhaus Association’s Pecha Kucha Night on September 24th 2025 in Naarm/Melbourne.
Pecha Kucha is a dynamic, fast paced storytelling format where presenters showcase 20 slides with 20 seconds of commentary each. This makes a compelling, environment that keeps the speakers moving to present their ideas in a concise punchy pitch!
This a fun way for professionals to share a journey, idea or story. Our speakers will captivate you with ideas and information to inspire further thought or be practically implemented day-to-day.
Talina’s presentation, titled ‘(re)imagine…the homes of our future: 10 simple steps to holistic nature-aligned retrofits’ will explore how sustainable and resilient design is shaping our future - from biophilic design and adaptive reuse to reducing energy use, regenerating old homes, prioritising healthier indoor environments, and respecting water as sacred. Together, we'll look at how Passivhaus principles and ethical choices bring us closer to living in harmony with nature.
Last year our Director Andy presented at both Sydney & National Pecha Kucha events with a presentation title “2020 Vision”. Our graduate architects and Certified Passivhaus Designers, Mia Radic & Shaily Shah, also presented at the Melbourne Pecha Kucha event with a presentation titled “101 things I didn’t learn in Passivhaus school”.
All are welcome to book tickets to attend the Melbourne, Sydney or Perth event.

Talina’s passion for architecture was ignited as a child and her love for biophilic design was nurtured by a childhood home built from earth bricks by her father and grandfather. Her approach to sustainable architecture is fuelled by two equally strong impulses—to work from a firm foundation in cutting edge building science and to create buildings that are a joy to experience with all the senses.
