Our director Andy Marlow will be part of the 2024 Sustainability Summit in November in Sydney! This event is always jam-packed full of industry experts sharing their knowledge about all things ‘sustainability’ in the built-environment, and Envirotecture are always delighted to be involved.
Rethinking Passive Design
There are many ways to optimise sustainability and keep construction costs to a minimum while still meeting Passivhaus standards. But is Passivhaus suitable for the whole of Australia or only some parts of the climatically diverse Continent? Is it time for an Australian Passivhaus standard?
This presentation will cover an understanding of:
– Define the term ‘Passivhaus’
– Quantify the degree to which the Passivhaus concept has been adopted in Australia
– Explain the suitability of the Passivhaus concept to the various parts of the Australian continent
– Explain what would be involved in establishing an Australian Passivhaus standard
Andy is excited to present alongside a fantastic lineup of speakers and be part of a robust discussion about one of his favourite topics.
