Join our Director Talina Edwards in Lexton for a free community event about creating healthier, more sustainable and resilient homes in regional Victoria.
Living in regional Victoria comes with plenty of rewards - but bushfire, extreme weather and a changing climate are realities we increasingly need to design and prepare for.
On Sunday 11 October, the Resilient Homes Expo will bring together local organisations, emergency services and industry experts at the Lexton Community Hub and Recreation Reserve to share practical ways we can make our homes, properties and communities more resilient.
Our Director Talina Edwards will be presenting on behalf of Renew, about creating and retrofitting healthy, beautiful, comfortable and sustainable homes, based on the wonderful resource, the Green Rebuild Toolkit.
She’ll explore how good sustainable design and resilience can go hand-in-hand; from reducing bushfire vulnerabilities in an existing home, to passive solar design, energy efficiency, renewable energy and creating homes that remain safer and more comfortable when conditions outside become extreme.
Whether you’re considering a new home, planning a renovation, or simply wondering what you can do to improve the resilience of the house you already have, there will be plenty of practical ideas to take home.
As a practice with a studio in Ballarat, we’re especially pleased to be part of an event helping our local and regional communities prepare for the future.
