Parlour celebrates women of architecture, with Talina invited to speak at the first ever Ballarat Salon.
Ballarat has been announced as another location for Parlour’s long-running Salon series. Join them for an invigorating conversation with our Victorian Director Talina Edwards in a conversation with local Interior Designer Katrina Walkenhorst about wellbeing, sustainability, regional practice and why they do what they do.
Casual and welcoming, Parlour Salons are an opportunity to meet for conversation over refreshments, to form new networks and relationships, and revive older ones. There is only one rule – that you meet someone you don’t already know.
Parlour Parlour is a research-based advocacy organisation working to improve gender equity in architecture and the built environment professions. The explain:
“As activists and advocates we aim to generate debate and discussion. As researchers and scholars we provide serious analysis and a firm evidence base for change. As active participants in Australian architecture we seek to open up opportunities and broaden definitions of what architectural activity might be.”
Talina has been a supporter of Parlour for many years, including being a member of the Parlour-Collective.
